Walk the chapters

Hansel & Gretel

Hansel and Gretel were brave enough.

But do you have the guts?

Little Red Riding Hood

Red was only bringing a basket to Grandmother.

Something else answered the door — and it can blow this whole page away.

Snow White

She only took one bite.

Seven of them carried her through the trees. You will walk the same path.

Beauty and the Beast

The Beast only wanted to be loved.

The last petal is falling. Don't be caught in the west wing when it does.

The Juniper Tree

The tree only wanted to sing.

Listen for it near the end of the trail. It knows your name.

The Water Nix

The nix only wanted someone to play with.

She keeps whoever she catches. Keep scrolling — if you can.

The Gingerbread Zombie House

The gingerbread house only wanted seconds.

It's been hungry since the oven went cold. Mind the icing — it bites back.

Death's Messenger

He only came to deliver a message.

Somewhere in these woods, a candle marks your name. Don't let it go out.

Eight tales, so far · One trail

Half a mile of stories that were never as gentle as you remember

Takhone Lodge #7 builds the Haunted Hollow every October — a walk through the woods of Rosemont staged tent by tent by Scouts and Arrowmen. This year the trail follows eight grim tellings — Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, The Juniper Tree, The Water Nix, The Gingerbread Zombie House, and Death's Messenger — set tent by tent through the woods.

Saturday afternoon · No scares

And plenty of fun for the whole family

The Hoedown at the Hollow is fun and games for the whole family, plus an optional no-scare tour through the tents with little to no fog. We show the kids what's behind the scenes, and they have a great time.

Saturday, October 24 · 12:00–5:00 PM only · Last admission 4:00 PM
